A man was killed this morning when he was shot in his home in Beyers Park in Boksburg.
ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived at the residence and were lead into the bedroom where they found the patient.
Upon assessment, paramedics found that the man had sustained a gunshot wound to his head and was in a critical condition.
Paramedics immediately treated the patient and provided him with advanced life support interventions. He was thereafter transported to a nearby private hospital for urgent treatment.
On route to hospital, the patient’s vital signs diminished and paramedics had to initiate CPR interventions, in an effort to stabilize his vital signs. After a short time, the patient’s vital signs returned.
Paramedics arrived at the hospital and handed the patient over to the hospital staff. Unfortunately, after a short time, the patient finally succumbed to his injuries.
Local authorities were at the residence to investigate the cause of the incident.
