Shortly after 18h00pm on Thursday evening 5 April 2018, Netcare 911 responded to reports of a shooting at a grocery store in Germiston, Gauteng.
On arrival, Netcare 911 attended to a man in his mid-40s, who appeared to have sustained more than one gunshot wound to the upper body. Tragically his injuries were fatal and he was declared dead at the scene.
Reports from the scene indicate that the man had been shot by robbers during the grocery store robbery.
The exact details leading to the shooting and the number of robbers was not yet known and local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
