A 34-year-old man sustained moderate injuries this morning after he accidently shot himself in the foot at a butchery on a plot, near the Old Potch Road in Vanderbijlpark.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the security guard seated on the floor, in the entrance to the store.
The man was assessed by ER24 paramedics and found to have sustained a gunshot wound to his right foot.
The man was treated for his injuries and was thereafter transported to Mediclinic Emfuleni for further treatment.
The incident was reported to the local authorities.
