On Thursday, 13 January 2022 police in Ekurhuleni operationalised information which led to the arrest of a 53-year-old suspect in Brakpan for possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition.
The SAPS members joined forces with EMPD Tracing Unit and the team proceeded to the identified address of the suspect.
A search resulted in police recovering four unlicensed firearms and ammunition.
The suspect is expected to appear in court soon while further investigation is underway.
