A man was taken to hospital in a critical condition after he was stabbed at least 30 times in Braamfischerville, south of Johannesburg, on Saturday, Gauteng paramedics said.
ER24 spokeswoman Chitra Bodasing-Harduth said the man was found in the early hours of Saturday after an off-duty security officer alerted paramedics.
“Paramedics arrived on the scene, in Braamfischerville close to Cemetery Road, and found the man laying in an open field. Upon assessment of the man it was found that he was in a critical condition. He had sustained at least 30 stab wounds across his body.” Details surrounding the incident were unknown.
