A man was fatally wounded in a shooting incident in Riverlea, Johannesburg, on Saturday, Gauteng paramedics said.
ER24 paramedics attended to the incident and found the man in a car in Nasrec Road. He was in the driver’s seat, ER24 spokeswoman Chitra Bodasing-Harduth said.
“Upon assessment it was found that he was in a critical condition. He had sustained severe injuries to the head. He was transported to hospital. Sadly, the man’s vital signs deteriorated. Despite all efforts to save the man he sadly died as the paramedics arrived at the hospital.”
Further details were not yet available but police were investigating, she said.
