Yesterday evening just after 5pm Emer-G-Med paramedics responded to a shooting inside a public park in Wychwood, Germiston.
Paramedics arrived to find one patient who was in a critical condition, having sustained an abdominal gunshot wound.
Paramedics provided Advanced Life Support care and a medical helicopter was called to the scene to airlift the patient to a specialist Johannesburg Hospital.
The events leading up to the shooting are unknown and will be investigated by the South African Police Services.
