A man was admitted to hospital with serious burn wounds after he and 2 other people were attacked and tortured on a farm in the Hekpoort area of Gauteng on the R24 road on 16 August 2019.
The attack began around 2230 when 4 armed black men entered the house through a window. They went into the sleeping rooms of the owner of the farm’s brother where he was with his girlfriend.
There was also another man in the house who is the brother of the woman. The attackers demanded money and and the keys to the safe. The occupants of the house said there is no money or a safe in the house. The attackers then started to torture the occupants of the house. The occupants were burnt with an iron and thrown with hot water and also beaten.
The owner’s brother was the most seriously injured. The attackers left the house around 0100 with their loot.
The occupants of the house only managed to get help around 0600.
A 62 year old man was admitted to hospital with serious burn wounds.
