At about 03:30 on the morning of 1 August 2018, one of Drift Reaction cc Iron Fist Squad units visited a guarding site (business) in Lanseria.

While driving in, on his way to the guard, a foreman who stays on the premises, covered in blood, flagged him down and reported that he was attacked in his house by three suspects with an axe after they forced the back door to gain entry.

One suspect went for him with the axe and he lifted his hands to protect his head and got chopped in the hand! The Ghost Squad also reacted to the call.

The three fled as the foreman still kept on fighting them off however one suspect dropped his cell phone.

The Ghost Squad members immediately improvised and made a call to a number on the phone. The person gave them the address of the suspect in Diepsloot.

With the help of Diepsloot SAPS two of the three suspects were arrested at the address. The third one was “not home”. They can be positively linked to the incident and we truly believe the same gang might be involved in more cases where residents in Lanseria were shot and stabbed during the past few months.

The suspects are from Zimbabwe as well. Police will try to link them with other cases.

Well done to our team. You really make us proud. We knew it was just a matter of time before we caught up with them!
