Man (61) only found six days after being murdered in his home, Alberton

Julius Koekemoer (61) of Alberton was found by a neighbour in a spare room in his house where he had been lying for 6 days already. He was found tied up and there was a T-shirt around his neck. Koekemoer was only found in his home on Sunday 5 January 2020.

It appears that Koekemoer, who was divorced leaves behind six grown up children, was attacked and murdered on 30 December 2019.

He was discovered by the neighbour after his son Andre tried to phone him from 1 January 2020 and could not get hold of him. Andre then phoned the neighbour on Sunday and asked him to check up on his father.

Police is investigating but there have been no arrests.
