A Chase ensued, and two of the suspects were apprehended and detained at the malls holding cells until the South African Police arrived. Two of the suspects escaped, and one of the escapees ran into the glass window at entrance nine of the shopping center in an attempt to get away from the mall security team.

The suspects who escaped were wearing yellow t-shirts and blue denim jeans. And the other a blue jacket with brown denim jeans.

The mall was on lockdown for a brief period while the remaining suspects were sought.
