Four male suspects (some armed) who arrived in a green Toyota Tazz were approached by the malls contracted PSI Company Quatro Security while attempting to steal a blue Toyota Tazz.

A Chase ensued, and two of the suspects were apprehended and detained at the malls holding cells until the South African Police arrived. Two of the suspects escaped, and one of the escapees ran into the glass window at entrance nine of the shopping center in an attempt to get away from the mall security team.

The suspects who escaped were wearing yellow t-shirts and blue denim jeans. And the other a blue jacket with brown denim jeans.

The mall was on lockdown for a brief period while the remaining suspects were sought.

We would like to extend a special thanks to Quatro Security and the staff that put their lives in danger to catch the criminals and for their quick response. We would also like to issue a special thanks to SAPS and the CPF for their assistance. Counseling will be given to the guards involved who caught the suspects.

Kind Regards
