Security guards had to chase off a riotous group of EFF supporters with shock grenades after they tackled Julius Malema.
The incident took place at Henley on Klip where Abednego Mathole’s supporters were dissatisfied after Malema’s refusal to appoint him as Gauteng leader.
A conflict arose between Malema’s bodyguards which led to bottle throwing while shots were fired into the air.
