Tomorrow, October 10, it is the anniversary of the birthday of Paul Kruger in life president of the South African Republic (ZAR).

Since the ANC has received the government of FW de Klerk, 10 October is no longer an official holiday, but several institutions still celebrate the anniversary of the statesman and man of God.

The Explorers Movement in Krugersdorp held a memorial over the weekend, which included the image of president Kruger adorned with the presidential sash – a practice that has been established for several years now.

The president of the Explorer Movement, Alwyn de Klerk, described the weekend’s event as a success.

On October 10, the Kruger Society of Pretoria will also host a wreath-laying ceremony at the Heldeakker, where President Kruger was buried.
