The Gauteng Provincial Management has welcomed the long sentences given to four men that were convicted and sentenced from ten to eighteen years imprisonments for rape, murder, common robbery and hijacking in West Rand and Ekurhuleni Magistrates’ Courts.

The investigating officers were also commended for their hard work and dedication that led to the arrest and conviction of the accused.

Tebogo Seoleseng (22) was sentenced to 10 years for each case of rape. He raped two women in 2017 August and February 2018 at their shacks in Kagiso.

Meanwhile Ayanda Mashuku was sentenced to 14 years imprisonment for the murder of Mkhululi Ncube on 28 October 2018 at Kingsway in Benoni.

In other cases at Kempton Park, Well Royce was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment for common robbery. He had robbed the victim of his money.

Nigel team of investigators sent Belang Gwadiso Richard John Belang to 18 years imprisonment for hijacking that took place in January 2012. During the hijacking, the accused used police uniform. He was arrested on 2017.

Furthermore the Gauteng Task Team have arrested Alex Khozi who has been linked to more than 30 cases of serious and violent crimes in and around Gauteng. The accused has already appeared in Roodepoort Magistrates’ Court. His case has been remanded to 16 July 2019.
