Police arrested two suspects between the age of 33 and 40 for armed robbery at corner Noord and Wanderers Street on 15 March 2020 at 14:00.
It is alleged that four suspects robbed a 52-year-old male at corner Noord and Twist Street. One of the suspects pointed the victim with a firearm while his accomplices searched him, they took his cellphone and money.
A community patroller alerted the police and swift response by the police led to the arrest of the suspects. The cellphone of the victim was recovered and two other suspects are still at large with a firearm.
Investigation is under way and suspects will appear soon in the Johannesburg Magistrate Court.
