Our Tactical Response Unit recovered R9 MILLION in hijacked copper rods and arrested two suspects!
On July 3rd, 2025, two AMPM SA trucks from DRC were hijacked, and their drivers were kidnapped by individuals posing as metro police.
Our TRU swiftly located both trucks on the N3 South in Bedfordview. The officers apprehended two suspects from one truck, despite one fleeing. Through rapid investigation and victim ID, both apprehended individuals were detained at Bedfordview SAPS, facing charges of possession of suspected stolen property, truck hijacking, and kidnapping.
Both trucks and their entire R9 million cargo were recovered with NO LOSS!
