Farm attack, IPID investigator killed during house robbery, Cullinan
IPID investigator killed during house robbery, Cullinan

An investigating officer attached to the Independent Police Investigative Directorate was fatally shot on the morning of 10 March 2020, during a robbery at his house in De Ruxia, a smallholding in Jakkalsdans, Cullinan, North of the Capital City, Pretoria.

At approximately 3:30 a group of men arrived at the plot and held 46 year old Mr Mandla Mahlangu and a worker at gunpoint. The suspects shot Mr Mahlangu and fled taking with them Mr Mahlangu’s White Nissan Hardbody NP300 bakkie, Registration JD23XFGP and some household items.

The Gauteng Provincial Investigation Unit is investigating robbery as a possible motive.

No arrests have as yet been made.
