Two men, both believed to be in their 30s, were killed on the morning of 5 June 2019, following a shooting on President Street, Germiston. ER24 personnel arrived on the scene at 06:40 to find a light motor vehicle parked halfway on the pavement. A man, believed to be in his 30s, was found inside while a second man, also believed to be in his 30s, was found roughly 500 metres further up the road.
ER24 medics assessed both men and found that the man lying in the road had sustained a gunshot wound to the head while the man in the vehicle had sustained several gunshot wounds. Unfortunately, both men had already succumbed to their injuries. Nothing could be done for them and they were declared dead.
The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
