At approximately 23H05 on Friday evening 23 February 2018, Netcare 911 responded to reports of a shooting at a house in Chroom Avenue in the Roodekraans area, Roodepoort.
Reports from the scene indicate that the forty eight year old male victim was shot by intruders. When Netcare 911 arrived at the scene the victim was in a critical condition and was attended to by an Advanced Life Support paramedic.
Tragically despite efforts to resuscitate the victim, he succumbed to his severe injuries.
Documentation pertaining to his death was completed by Netcare 911 and handed over to authorities.
The police were on the scene to investigate the incident.
