The Hawks’ Gauteng together with the Department of Home Affairs and other stakeholders have been conducting an operation on the illegal mining king pins’ residences in Carletonville and Khutsong, since the early hours of 4 October 2022.
Six suspects have been arrested.
The multi-disciplinary team is also seizing their luxury vehicles and investigations are still on going.
