#BlackWar has been with us for so long but still the lives of the white minority is snuffed out on an almost daily basis in cruel and violent attacks like this one. A well known Pretoria doctor has been murdered in her house.
Dr Erna Britz-van Zyl (73) died a violent and cruel death when she and her husband, Dries Van Zyl (78), were attacked by several black men in their house in Erasmusrand, Pretoria.

The body of Dr Britz-van Zyl and her injured but alive husband were found on Saturday 30 January, 2020 but it is suspected that the attack on them already happened on Friday.

It is suspected that Dr Britz-van Zyl smothered to death after rags were placed in her mouth and she and her husband were tied up. The elderly couple was found extremely tightly bound and Dries had bruises all over his body. He was still in hospital on Sunday.

Gusti van Zyl, one of the couple’s four sons, who found his parents in their house after they did not answer their phone and he went to their house. Their Toyota Corolla car, licenced firearm, cell phones and TV set were taken by the attackers.

The question that MUST be asked is why does it take so long for an attack like this to be discovered? Could it be that no neighbour heard a sound or saw something out of the ordinary? Don’t people look out for each other anymore? Britz-van Zyl was a house doctor for years and still involved with academic hospitals like the Steve Biko hospital.

Elderly people must please step up security. It is by now well known that elderly people are regarded as soft targets in this country.
Make it as difficult as possible for attackers to get into your yard and have panic buttons and a firearm close at hand at all times and not buried in the safe.

You can unfortunately be attacked in your house at any time.
