One suspect arrested for Possession of suspected stolen vehicle and attempted murder at Olievenhoutbosch area. On 5 April 2018 there was a house robbery at The Reeds in Centurion.

Four suspects entered in a house at Davie Dr Villers Street were they found the owner in the study room. They pointed her with firearms and tied her hands and legs, covered her face.

They took computer equipment, cell phone and her vehicle, a Pajero.

Police members followed up on information and circulated the vehicle. A community member saw the incident and followed the vehicle where he saw the Metro Police and they assisted to chase the suspects to Olievenhoutbosch area.

Suddenly the occupants of the Pajero started shooting. They then stopped and tried to run away. Three of the suspects managed to run away and one was arrested. No one was injured in the shooting. Olievenhoutbosch Police opened a case of attempted murder and possession of stolen vehicle.

The Acting Cluster Commander, Brigadier Phukubye congratulated the members, Metro Police and community for good work done.

The suspect aged 33 years was detained at Wierdabrug and will appear at Pretoria Magistrates’ Court soon.
