Home invasion: Brakpan family of 5 found unharmed after being kidnapped

A family that was robbed and kidnapped in Brakpan in the early hours of 27 February 2020, have been found unharmed and their two cars, a Mercedes Benz and Toyota Double Cab Bakkie, were found abandoned in Katlehong on the morning of 27 February 2020. Police are still searching for the three suspects that were involved in the house robbery and kidnapping.

It is alleged that three suspects entered the residential complex in Palmridge Glen in Brakpan and held the family at gunpoint. The suspects took two television sets, a laptop and two cellular phones before driving off with the family in their two cars.

A couple aged 38 and 40 as well as their three children aged 20-months, 6 and 13 years, were later dropped in Cleveland where they walked to the local police station to report the matter.

The police are appealing to members of the public for any information that may lead to the arrest of the suspects. Anyone with information can call the nearest police or crime stop on ‪08600 10111. Information can also be given anonymously by downloading MySAPS App.
