At 18:00 on Friday evening, 14 May 2021, Netcare 911 responded to a helicopter crash at the Vaal Marina.
Reports indicate that a Robinson R44 helicopter with two occupants had gone down in the dam approximately two-hundred meters from the shore.
Sadly one occupant was found deceased by police divers and brought to shore.
The second occupant has not yet been found however is presumed to have also sustained fatal injuries.
