Heavily armed suspects bomb 2 ATM’s, Pick n Pay Center, Eersterust

Police have launched a manhunt for a group of suspects who bombed two ATM’s in the early hours of Wednesday 11 December 2019, at the Pick n Pay Center in Eersterust, Tshwane.

It is alleged that the group of heavily armed suspects pounced on two security guards who were on duty guarding the center and restrained them with their shoe laces and belts.

The suspects then allegedly proceeded to the two ATM’s and subsequently bombed them with explosives. The suspects managed to take an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the scene. No one was injured during the commission of the crime.

The police are appealing to anyone who might have information about the incident or the whereabouts of the suspects to call Eersterust SAPS on 012 806 1020/21, Crime Stop 08600 10 111 or via the MySAPSApp.
