One suspect has been arrested in connection with the gruesome farm attack and murder on the farm Welgevonden near Poortjie on the West rand.
Fanie (78) and Colleen (74) Engelbrecht were brutally murdered on Mothers Day 2018. Fanies throat was cut and Colleen was strangled with the iron cord.
Colonel Lungelo Makhubele, a police spokesperson, told Maroela media that the suspect was arrested on 17 May 2018 and will appear in the Sebokeng magistrates court today, 22 May 2018. He also said that the police were searching for one more suspect in the matter.
During the attack and violent murder of this elderly couple a firearms and household items were stolen.
