It is reported that the national police management requested that commissioner General Deliwe de Lange must resign.
She will apparently leave her post at the end of June 2018, after two years of service.
No reason for the request was given and there has been dissatisfaction with the SA Police Union regarding the many “golden handshakes” that costs the state millions.
On the other hand, she might have stepped on the wrong toes with her anti corruption action in the force.
