July Maphosa, a director of the Gauteng Department of Social Development, over a period of two years, spent money on a vehicle and furniture for his “girlfriend” and further money earmarked for ‘families in need’ was spent on a trip to Cape Town in 2014.
A total of about R500 000 was involved in the frivolous money spending escapades.
