JMPD officers were on patrol performing crime prevention duties when they spotted a blue Polo sedan driving recklessly on the M1 South. The officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver ignored their attempts and fled, weaving in and out of traffic. A high-speed chase lasted for about 5 kilometers until the suspects exited onto the N12 in Naturena. The four occupants were apprehended.
Upon searching the suspects, one was found with a silver pistol, its serial number filed off. Another pistol, reported stolen from a Parkview robbery case, was found on a second suspect.
