The African National Congress (ANC) stresses about filling up the FNB stadium but after 22 years are still trying to figure out how to fill up potholes. The ruling party must have spent a small fortune on transporting people to the stadium. Providing food and entertainment for the masses must have been costly.

The stadium was no doubt packed but the number of children who are not of a voting age that attended was included in the final count. The kids were promised food if they participated in the manifesto and that was the main reason for visiting. It was reported that several children went missing. It is a disgrace that the ANC use children for selfish purposes. The ANC must not manipulate children, and these kids need to be protected at all times. The magnitude of unemployed people must have been staggering. Years ago Zuma promised to 500 000 jobs and today the only jobs that are filled are those of ANC councilors.

People are not stupid all the time; there were free food, free entertain and a lot of people went there to see DJ SBU and other performances and after the show they left. Some people did not stay to hear President Jacob Zuma deliver his speech.

Zuma told the remaining crowds that the ANC must retain control of the Gauteng Municipality and that the voters must not let the ANC lose. Zuma emphasized the importance of Gauteng as the home of the ANC and told voters they had a responsibility to keep the ANC at the helm.

The ANC were hoping to fill the FNB Stadium and in doing so would intimidate the opposition parties. There is the hope that by filling up the stadium the ANC would attract members who were indecisive about which party to vote for in the upcoming municipal elections. The ANC will have to accept that people are no longer being intimidated and will not accept the failure of the government to deliver. The ANC slogan “the people shall govern” is about to become a reality for the party.
