Suspects attacked both a father and his daughter on Thursday night on their smallholding situated in the Bultfontein area, north of Pretoria.
The man was at home with his son and daughter and heard the dogs barking. He went outside to investigate and upon his return to the house was overpowered by three suspects.The suspects hit him with an iron object, and when the daughter tried to help, she was also hit with an iron object. Apparently, the son who was sleeping woke up and fired a warning shot, causing the suspects to flee.
The father, went to the Hammenskraal police station to report the incident. After that, both father and daughter went to the hospital for medical treatment. There are no reports on how serious the injuries are.
The police are investigating the matter, and no arrests have been made thus far.
