A farm attack took place on 11 January 2021, at 10:30, on a smallholding just outside of Nigel, in the Gauteng Province of South Africa. A woman, who had a three year old child with her, was overpowered and severely assaulted by an attacker.
It is unclear what was robbed during the attack, the child was unharmed but severely traumatised and suffering from shock. All role players responded after the alarm was raised and an ambulance arranged to give medical assistance to the woman.
The attacker fled on foot after the attack. There were no arrests. There is no other information available at this stage. The police are investigating.
