At about 21:50 on 23 April 2018, the Drift reaction control centre received a call from a client who reported that his friend who resides in River Road phoned him and asked for urgent medical assistance as he was attacked inside his house and sustained several stab wounds.
The attack took place on a smallholding in Sunrella, an agricultural suburb north of Johannesburg.
The control centre dispatched emergency services as well as Tactical Units and the Iron Fist Squad.
On arrival they searched for the victim inside the house and found him in a pool of blood. He had sustained numerous serious stab wounds.
According to the victim, three unknown men broke down his front door, entered and started stabbing him. They made off with various electrical items.
The victim was stabilized at the scene and it was reported this morning that he was admitted to ICU.
Police are investigating.
