During the early hours of Sunday morning, 22 July 2018, the client alerted Drift Reaction cc and reported that there had been a shooting at the compound. The Ghost Squad as well as Tactical Units were dispatched. On arrival they found a farm manager lying on the bedroom floor and bleeding profusely from a wound to his head.
According to his wife they were asleep inside the room when the suspects broke a window and told them to open the door. As her husband got up shots were fired and he was struck in the head. His wife said when the suspects told him to open he told them they can take the flat screen but should please not harm them.
They offered NO resistance whatsoever.
The control centre dispatched our partners ER24 who rushed to the scene and the victim was stabilized before he was airlifted to Milpark Hospital in a critical condition. He is still in a critical condition and fighting for his life.
According to doctors this morning, 23 July 2018 the bullet went through his skull and he has lost sight in both eyes. He will be blind if he survives.
The brutal and aggressive suspects fled with a flat screen! The couple did not have any other expensive items or cash in their room! They are brazen and not scared to shoot.
Police opened an Attempted Murder case and they are investigating.
