A farm attack took place on 3 January 2020, in Strydfontein, north of Pretoria, Gauteng province. A man was shot twice, in his hand and chest. His wife was assaulted with a crowbar during a violent home invasion at their house on a smallholding. The attackers gained entry to the house by breaking a window.
The couple only got help hours later after walking to a neighbouring smallholding.
The man had to be admitted to hospital. Cellphones and other items were taken. There is no other information available at this stage. Police are investigating and there have been no arrests.
