A farm attack took place on 8 July 2019, in Apiesrivier, Gauteng province. A male victim managed to inform the local farm watch that suspects were trying to gain entry. The attackers managed to gain entrance to the home and assaulted and tied up the man. Fortunately as a result of his request for help the community came to rescue and attackers fled.
