Farm attack, five attackers break open door assault man, Sunrella

A farm attack took place on 27 March 2019 in Sunrella, Gauteng province. Five armed attackers broke the lock on the front door and attacked and assaulted a male victim. The house was ransacked. This was the second attack by the same gang in one night.

Just after the shooting of the tenant in Central Road, the suspects went to the neighbouring property where they simply broke the lock of the front door to gain entry into the house.

They overpowered the house sitter and tied him up. They ransacked the house. During the ordeal, the suspects expressly asked the house-sitter where his wife was which makes it very clear that they knew exactly how many people were supposed to be inside the house.

Unbeknown to them the owners were on holiday and the house-sitter did not have a wife. The suspects even spoke about this to each other! It is crystal clear that they did their homework before they attacked both properties. They are professional, extremely aggressive, brazen and dangerous.

They do not hesitate to shoot and then still have the nerve to move to the next property while police and our units are right next door. This is really getting out of hand. Please DO NOT open your door at night and if someone knocks and DO NOT stand in front of the door in case the suspects shoot through the door.

Press your panic if you are linked to a security company. If you do not expect visitors then a knock at the door could indicate an attack! The moment you open the door you open are in direct line of fire and the suspects can then get to your family and loved ones. Our teams also assisted on this scene.
