A farm attack was averted when a farmer opened fire on three attackers on 19 June 2019, at 00:00. The attack took place in Tweedespruit at Horseback Africa, Cullinan, Gauteng province. The man had taken his dog, who was restless, outside. He was attacked by three men. He opened fire, shooting four rounds at them and they immediately fled. No blood was found in the area and it is unclear if any of them were hit..
Poison had already been put out by the attackers and the dog died 30 minute later. There is no other information available at this stage.Police are investigating.
