A farm attack took place on 19 September 2019, in Honingnestkrans, Gauteng province. Victims noticed noises coming from the pump when they were leaving for work. When they turned the car in that direction to investigate, an unknown number of attackers opened fire hitting Peet Steyn (59) in the leg. When his wife attended to her wounded husband, several black male attackers appeared and forced her into the house.
Various items were then robbed. Peet Steyn was taken to Montana Netcare hospital for medical attention with serious injuries to his leg. There is no other information available at this stage. Police are investigating the attack.
