A farm attack took place on Thursday morning, 4 November 2021, at 03:00, on the farm Schietpoort, in Bronkhorstspruit, in the Gauteng province of South Africa. Seven attackers, of which at least four were armed, invaded the farmhouse after cutting the the burglar bars with a bolt cutter.
The farm workers were also attacked and tied up in their homes.
The attackers assaulted and tortured the elderly woman by burning her with a blow torch that they had brought with them to the farm.
The attackers ransacked the home stealing the fridge, freezer, lounge furniture and other household items and fled in the woman’s bakkie, a silver Ford Ranger with registration CC 35 GM GP.
All role players responded and the woman was admitted to hospital for medical attention.
The police are investigating the attack but there have been no arrests.
