Fake doctor in hawks net, Heidelberg

The Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation is asking potential victims of an alleged bogus doctor who is accused of performing medical examinations without a license to come forward.

Vusumuzi Jeremiah Dhlamini (63) who previously practiced as an auxiliary nurse has been arrested for masquerading as qualified medical doctor in Ratanda, Heidelberg.

The Acing Hawks Head Lieutenant General Yolisa Matakata has warned about an increase in people masquerading as medical practitioners using fake qualifications to ply their illegal trade.

“We are concerned about the mushrooming of these illegal practitioners because they are innocent lives at serious risk. We are making a passionate plea to the public to come forward. We cannot allow this to go on and this is a warning to other so called doctors across the country that we are coming after you.”
