The Provincial Organised Crime Unit in Gauteng is leaving no stone unturned as they continue to make inroads in arresting suspects for recent murders in Eldorado Park.

On 22 September 2022, the team arrested three suspects including a minor for the murder of two victims aged 19 and 20 years old.

On 10 September 2022, the victims were allegedly shot and killed while walking on the street at Eldorado Park.

The two victims aged 19 and 20-years-old were walking on the street when the suspects shot them before fleeing the scene.

The three suspects aged 17, 22 and 31-years-old were arrested on 23 September 2022 and are expected to appear before court soon on charges of murder.

On another incident, a man was shot and killed on 2 April 2022 also in Eldorado Park by unknown suspects.

Through a meticulous investigation by Provincial Organised Crime Unit, two suspects were placed on the scene of crime and a warrant of arrest was issued for them.

On 22 September 2022, the team traced and arrested one of the suspects. He is expected to appear before court soon. Police investigation continues.

The Provincial Commissioner of Gauteng, Lieutenant General Elias Mawela has welcomed the arrests and applauded the members for their commitment and dedication in ensuring that perpetrators are arrested and brought to book.
