Police arrested a 64 year old man and 29 year old woman for possession of drugs and equipment suspected to be used for manufacturing and processing drugs in White City, Soweto. A charge of bribery was added for the male suspect when he tried to silence the two police officers by offering them cash.
On 22 November 2019, police went to a house after receiving a tip-off that drugs are being sold. When searching the place, police found a bag of white powder, liters of white liquid and also small packets of white powder, a mask and a small electronic scale.
It is alleged that the suspect bribed the police with cash. He was arrested together with a female who was found in the house.
Suspects will appear in Protea Magistrate’s Court on Monday 25 November 2019.
