Springs SAPS Crime Prevention and rangers were conducted stop and search operations at Hills Road at Selection Park at about 12:00.

The police noticed a blue Daihatsu with two suspicious suspects. The police followed with intention to search. The vehicle immediately stopped and two suspects throw out three plastic bags on the ground.

On further investigation the members found the plastic bags contain drugs suspected to be mandrax tablets.

The two suspects were immediately arrested for dealing in drugs. The total number of the drugs tablets is 1 326 with street value of R80,000.

The two suspects age 54 and 55 years where taken to Springs SAPS for detention.

Springs SAPS Station Commander, Brig Thembeka Gwebushe applauded the members for their dedication and enthusiasm to keep Springs precinct a crime free area. The two suspects will appear at Springs Magistrates’ Court soon on charges of dealing in drugs.
