On Friday, 21 January 2022, Karabo Mpinga, aged 27-years old, was sentenced to 5-years imprisonment in Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court for robbery.
A case of robbery was reported by the victim on 24 April 2019 after three suspects entered his home in Dobsonville and attacked him.
The trio fled the scene with a Samsung cellphone, cash and the victim’s drivers license.
The case was assigned to Constable Mayimele who through his relentless investigation traced and arrested Mpinga.
The Station Commander of SAPS Dobsonville, Brigadier Ngubane welcomed the sentence and commended Constable Mayimele for leading sterling investigation.
