Kalafong Hospital in Atteridgeville is under the spotlight again. During June 2015 shocking photos emerged of blocked toilets, laundry piled up in bathrooms, dirt, and dust all over the place. The ceilings that are in urgent need of repairs looked as though they were about to collapse. There were reports about the bad attitude of nurses, and patients suffering. There were allegations of negligence that might have caused the untimely death of patients.
Patients and visitors to the hospital said that if the African National Congress (ANC) government did not take action to clean up the hospital, then it should rather be closed down.

It was after a private investigator posted photos of the hospital on social media last year, that stirred the department of health to take action. Apparently, the arrangement was made to clean up the filth on Mondays.

A year later, and there is no change. It is all a lie, the new photos show how the toilets are in a disgusting state, there is dirt all over the place and blocked drains and toilets. The hospital is in a repulsive state, and the government does not care. Kalafong Hospital is not the only public hospital that is in disgusting conditions, most of the hospital around South Africa have deteriorated into a state of revulsion.

Chris Mapasa said “The ANC-Department of Health Treat South Africans likes Pigs. What a disgrace to South Africa and the civilised world! Provincial hospitals are chronically understaffed and under budget – driven from the top – clearly our government is discriminating against the sick and is recklessly mismanaging our country. The ANC government should be ashamed, while they roll in affluence, eat their caviar, fly their jets and roll in sin.”
