On Tuesday, 2 August 2022 members of SAPS Devon arrested three suspects on the R29 Road in Endicott and recovered an unlicensed firearm and various other items.
The SAPS members were reportedly out on a routine crime prevention patrol when they received a complaint of a truck hijacking in progress and swiftly proceeded to the identified location on the R29 Road.
The suspects’ vehicle was intercepted and a search was conducted which led the SAPS members to recover an unlicensed firearm, two reflector jackets and two pairs of black leather hand gloves.
Three suspects were subsequently arrested and facing charges of attempted truck hijacking and possession of unlicensed firearm.
