At 02H39 Monday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the R25 Pretoria road.
Reports from the scene indicate that a light motor vehicle and a horse were involved in a collision.
There were no injuries from the vehicle, but the horse had succumbed to fatal injuries.
All necessary authorities were on scene.
