Intelligence driven information led to the arrest of four suspects for the alleged attempted house robbery in Bryanston on the afternoon of 17 March 2020 at about 15:00.

Police received information about the Mercedes ML that was driving towards Lonehill. The information was operationalised and police kept close observations and the car was spotted at Aftonwold Road, the suspects were stopped and searched.

Four suspects were arrested for unlicensed firearms, eight ammunition and ten magazines which were recovered during the search.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the ML Mercedes Benz was hijacked in Garankuwa, Tshwane. Police seized clothes used by suspects to cover their face, gloves, caps and house breaking implements.

The Gauteng Provincial management, applauded the police officers who responded diligently to information given and arrested the suspects on the act.

The four suspects are expected to appear at Randburg Magistrates Court soon facing charges of attempted house robbery, possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition.
