Ekurhuleni’s city council has undertaken to make a full forensic investigation into the ‘Bus Rapid Transit’ project, but experts say it’s too late because the project was drained dry and used as a cash cow for certain politicians, rental car owners and council officials.
The project was launched shortly after the 2010 World Cup and costs are already R2.2 billion without any real progress.
